Casa Cornelia Law Center, located in San Diego, CA, is a non-profit law firm providing quality pro bono legal services to victims of human and civil rights violations. The Center has a primary commitment to the indigent within the immigrant community in Southern California. Casa Cornelia strives to educate others regarding the impact of immigration law and policy on society and the public good.
Casa Cornelia is seeking a talented Development Manager to join its development/fundraising team and who has fundraising experience, including special events, sponsorship solicitation and the ability to develop and nurture relationships with key volunteers, donors, and corporate sponsors.
Responsibilities include: oversee annual giving appeals, special events, marketing efforts, and other fundraising activities necessary for garnering philanthropic support for Casa Cornelia, through a full range of development and related programs.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of successful fundraising and relevant non-profit experience, a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor software and have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation.
The position requires commitment to Casa Cornelia’s mission, a ‘self-starter’ attitude, excellent writing ability, strong organizational and networking skills; the ability work on various events simultaneously and a strong eye for detail. Candidates will be able to help develop and manage budgets while growing revenues and managing expenses. Candidates will also have experience in supervising, team building and campaign management with leadership, volunteers and staff.
