Position Summary – Foundation Accountant & Donor Researcher
Responsible for Tri-City Hospital Foundations' donor-related programs such as QuickBooks Non-profit and/or Financial Edge, Raiser's Edge, Wealth Engine and Crescendo. Duties include but are not limited to: management of the foundation's software and office systems, receiving and depositing donors' contributions, providing the board of trustee and the staff with regular reports on the financial health and obligations of the Foundation, maintaining close relationships with the Foundation's donors and volunteers, managing day-to-day financial responsibilities, reporting requirements and the budget needs of the Foundation. Researches potential new donor prospects.
Major Position Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and monitor donor development programs and prospect research.
Track and analyze donors' contribution history through Wealth Engine, Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, Crescendo, Star Guide and other related software.
Review and research applications for grants, including formal presentations to related committees and Board of Trustees.
Provide reports and financial analysis for all events, projects and special fund raising efforts.
Prepare end-of-the-month reports on profit and loss, payables and receivables.
Assist Leader with budget projection and planning, Star Guide ratings, bank accounts and other financial responsibilities deemed necessary.
Act as liaison for the Foundation's finance committee.
Manage Quick Books Non-Profit and/or Financial Edge software applications and updates.
Coordinate with the Foundation's investment advisors and audit firms.
Research and provide updates on potential donor prospects.
Submit regular financial reports to the Board of Trustees and the Foundation President
A minimum of three years of dedicated accounting experience is required.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), required.
Proficient computer skills MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Project), required.
Excellent working knowledge of Financial Edge and/or QuickBooks, required
Working knowledge of Wealth Engine, Raiser's Edge, Crescendo, Star Guide preferred.
Familiarity with donor management and recruitment programs and techniques, required.
Willingness to learn other software packages as needed, required
Must be able to analyze data and compute figures accurately and efficiently, required
Knowledge and experience with accounting principles including cash investment assets, receivables, fund management, accounts payable, fund balances and transfers, grant and operating expense disbursements, required.
Ability to work on a variety of tasks in an efficient manner in an ever-changing work environment, required.
Knowledge of special event planning, required.
Ability to motivate and work with volunteers, board members, community leaders and employees, required.
Detail orientation, required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university, required.
