Major and Planned Gifts Associate

The Salvation Army, serving San Diego since 1887, is seeking a detail-oriented major and planned gifts associate to support the directors of major and planned gifts. Qualified candidates will have a four-year degree, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and be highly proficient in Excel, Word, and Publisher. Experience using fundraising software or a database to generate lists and reports is a plus. The incumbent will be comfortable supporting three directors and must be able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines and possess a genuine enthusiasm for helping directors to meet and exceed their fundraising goals.

The primary focus of the position is providing administrative support, performing research, and assisting with resource acquisition. Regular duties will include preparing and sending letters, mailings, emails, running reports, keeping track and logging all communications in proprietary database and assisting directors with implementing specifics of cultivation plans leading to securing major and planned gifts.
