Girl Scouts of Orange County seeks an empowering and visionary leader as its new Chief Executive Officer. Working in partnership with the Board of Directors and the Executive Team, the CEO is charged with the leadership of the GSOC and ensuring success in achieving its mission and vision. The CEO will provide strategic direction, achieve fundraising goals, ensure operational excellence, and focus on financial sustainability. The CEO will oversee a $10 million budget and will manage a high performing executive team. In addition to providing leadership to the Council, the CEO will also work in partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA to carry out the mission and strategy of the organization and to address charter obligations. Ideally, the CEO should have at least ten years of successful and responsible leadership experience in a large and complex organization with multiple stakeholders. Leadership in the non-profit or public sector with volunteer-driven organizations is highly desired. Experience working with a sophisticated, engaged Board is essential. A background in Girl Scouts, either as a volunteer, girl member, or parent of a Girl Scout is a plus. A bachelor’s degree is required; graduate degree is preferred.
